Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: Enhance Your Health and Well-being
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment used for a number of different conditions. This state-of-the-art technology applies principles that have been used since the 17th century. HBOT supplements oxygen intake at higher atmospheric pressure, enhancing the distribution of oxygen through blood capillaries, tissues, organs, and the brain. This treatment is non-invasive and decreases inflammation, accelerates wound healing, and optimizes both physical and mental performance.
Benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
HBOT has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, including:
- Chronic wounds
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Radiation therapy side effects
- Arthritis
- Migraines
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Autism
How Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Works
HBOT works by increasing the amount of oxygen dissolved in the blood plasma. This increased oxygen levels allows the body to heal itself more effectively. HBOT also reduces inflammation and promotes the growth of new blood vessels.
What to Expect During Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
During an HBOT treatment, you will lie down in a pressurized chamber. The chamber will be filled with oxygen-rich air. The pressure inside the chamber will be gradually increased to a level that is comfortable for you. You will be able to breathe normally during the treatment.
HBOT treatments typically last for 60 to 90 minutes. Most people find the treatments to be relaxing and comfortable.
Side Effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
HBOT is generally a safe treatment with few side effects. However, some people may experience mild side effects, such as ear fullness, sinus pressure, or fatigue. These side effects are usually temporary and go away on their own.
If you are interested in learning more about HBOT, talk to your doctor. HBOT may be a safe and effective treatment option for you.
